this isnt propaganda, its just, council.
"30th Student Council, can you feel the heartbeat?"our own Council cheer, brought about through GuoJun's interview.
hahaha, i love the cheer, you love the cheer, we all love the cheer!
a great morale booster, i still remember the days we cheered so early in the morning just before Orientation.
but oh, what could beat cheering at some twilight hour during Selection Camp? :)

and now, the 31st Student Council has been elected.
a new batch of students put up there, armed with the responsibility (of making the school a LOVELY LIVELY PLACE amidst their other aims, who could forget the ubiquitous statement to be a bridge between the student body and administration?)
they've gotten through Selection Camp, but LTC's gonna be a whole new ball game.
so hang on tight 31st!
and dont complain. :)

but whatever. i still think the 30th rocks! :D
The lovely Student Centre's our beloved hidey hole; umm.
hiding all these kookys from civilisation!
and i thought it's also good fun when we managed to get out into the sun, Council Games Day was fun to remember.
that smelly concoction of tofu, chinchow, butter, eggs, sweat, amanda&em's foot stench :), our spit and all.
but what i really like about Council is that it gives you the opportunity to do things.
not just anything, but things like. Planning events, executing them, meeting people. really good fun i say!
People might often complain, or belittle our efforts. but who really knows the amount of efforts pumped in? or even if people empathise with our looonnggg meeting hours, who could really understand what it means to sit for extended periods and discuss?
no one but ourselves. :)
Teachers Day, Grad Night, Open House, Orientation (loves OG4!), Friendship Week, Selection Camp. Been there, done that. and really enjoyed the process! not that i love sitting through incredibly looong meetings but hey. it's all part of the experience. :)
but icing on the cake!
it's extra lovely when people appreciate our efforts.
grad night was said to be "better than expected, great job 30th!"
and amongst the other encouraging things, friendship week was commented by the teachers to be "you mean we celebrate friendship week? i never knew!" even though we've been doing it since, forever.
hahaha. great to know that frienship week this year was, different. and alot cooler. :)
ohwells. but our term's gonna end. real soon.
two months perhaps? i know we teared during commendation. but woweee. what am i to expect come stepping down? it's gonna be fraught with wayyy more emotions, cause well. it's been one incredible journey that we have to say goodbye to.
butwell, whatever happens. I enjoyed council ALOT! :) and so, (okay lah. even though i really dont..) i hope that the 31st can match up to our achivements, or even go one step further! :)

and that's us, during the SAJC vs ACS(IB) game.
and behind us, are the would-be 31st.
:)
and in the words of Khiu,
"We're lovin' it. the laughter. the smiles. the teases made school worthwhile"
AWW.
